Excavation history

Collected at Reed's Quarry 10, Como Bluff, for O. C. Marsh; the first sauropod published as a whole-skeleton reconstruction (Marsh 1883) and still one of the best preserved diplodocids. Heavily reconstructed for its mount at Yale.
